Cinnabar is the fire-red stone of the Chinese tradition, long worn to guard vitality and keep good fortune close. Its colour alone was considered protective, the red that meets whatever the day brings.
The Dragon, the only mythical sign of the twelve, stands for ambition, vitality and celestial luck. It is the guardian sign of those born in 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024.
On the back sits Samantabhadra (普贤菩萨), the guardian Buddha of the Dragon among the eight zodiac protectors, the bodhisattva of steady practice who turns intention into action.
